Husband And Wife Arraigned For Alleged $120m Fraud (Greedy Couple)

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on November 16, 2016 arraigned Austine Chidiebere Ezeama and Juliet Ezeama (Husband and wife) before Justice O. H. Oshodi of the Lagos State High Court Ikeja on a Seven count charge bordering on conspiracy and obtaining money by false pretence.

One of the count read, “Augustine Chidiebere Ezeama, Juliet Ezeama and Mabrubeni Nigeria Limited, on or about the 6th day of May, 2015 at Lagos within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court with intent to defraud, obtained the sum of $30,570 (Thirty Thousand Five Hundred and Seventy US Dollars) from CIFERCOM LLC under the false Pretence that the money was for registration of CIFERCOM LLC as a company in Nigeria preparatory to the award of $8 million (Eight million US Dollars) contract to CIFERCOM LLC by the Federal Government of Nigeria, which representation you knew to be false”.
They both pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them. Justice Oshodi remanded the defendants in EFCC custody and subsequently adjourned the matter till 21st November, 2016 for bail application.

D' banj Advices Artistes To Focus On Making Money And Not Becoming Popular

D’banj, who was recently sued by a technology company MindHub, has advised artistes to make money from their creative efforts and shun being popular..

In an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday, saying:

“A musician is supposed to know how to play good music or collaborate with others to make good music in order to get paid for the services.

“We are not releasing music for it to be on You Tube or some other social media to make us popular. A musician should create room for some other persons to contribute to his music to make it worth the people’s while.

“We are releasing music to make money and to have money to help ourselves and our families, I am not shying away from other genres of music, but you just have to do the one that suits a song. As an entertainer, I have to be versatile in what I do.”
